History
The Open Switch members have developed several telecommunications and informatics products. Here is a brief history:
- 1986 - First subsystem backup for PCs in Brazil
- 1989 - System for PC interconnection with tape recorders
- 1990 - Development of the TCO system together with Embratel
- 1995 - Virtual Tape Drive, that allows CDR collection in real time, emulating a tape drive
- 2000 - CDR collection in real time through the X.25 interface for different types of technologies (EWSD, AXE, S-12, 5ESS)
- 2002 - Products based on CDR collection
- 2003 - Open Switch is founded.
- 2004 - Starting consulting activities.
- 2005 - Development of the process mapping tool.
- 2006 - Development of the telecommunication product line.
- 2007 - Releasing XL-PABX and XL-PABX-Cable products.
- 2008 - Releasing XL-Telecom and STS-3000 products.
Currently, Open Switch has products for CDR collection and terminal emulation, all based on hardware platform developed specifically for the switches environment.
